Peaches and Lilacs

Hello Friends

Today I am posting a Birth Day card. I wanted to experiment with peach and lilac colours.  I think peach and lilac make great combo. What do you think?

I have some peach coloured card stock. I am always confused as to which other colours can be paired with peach colour. Can someone please suggest some colour combos?

Today I am posting a simple card which was made using two colours - purple and white.

I have used border punch on the insert on one side and added the plaid tape on both of the inner sides.

Colourful Thank You Cards

Hello there!

Hope you are all doing well. I think some of you might be busy preparing for Christmas. 

Today I want share with you these two cards. 

For both cards I have used the same printed paper. But the base of the cards are of different colours as you can see. The entire lot of this printed paper pack is of bright and cheery. I have been wanting to use this for a long time. 

I could not properly photograph these cards as the printed paper was glossy and reflecting light. I tried my best.

This card is portrait oriented. I have used tangerine coloured card stock.

I have used border punch for the design.

This card is landscape oriented. Base is white card stock and I used a matting of yellow card stock.

Here the insert is of white and yellow colours.

Both cards were easy to make. Hope you like my cards. Do leave your comments and suggestions if any please.

Simple Card

Hello Friends!

Hope you are doing well. Its very hot here since past three days. The temperatures are so high as if in mid summers.

I think I have made many cards using this particular MB dies. 

I love flowers. May be it is one of the reasons. May be when you buy something new, you have to play with it. May be I have very few dies and so I use it again and again. 

I think I have some more cards and bookmarks made using these dies.

I have used A4 size card stock folded into half as base. 

The colour of the base card and the layers is as in the first image. In the second image, exact colours were not captured properly. Even the colour of insert is cream colour same as that of the layers on the front of the card.

Red and White Card

Hello Friends! Welcome to my blog. 

Because of the heavy and continuous rains all my daily chores and other work got piled up. Lot of cleaning to do in the garden as well as inside the house. Loads of washing and other things pending. So also my shopping for essentials and other things got postponed.  So I have to complete all that with in this week.

In todays post I am sharing with you a card, which was made using only two colours, that is red and white.  

Yes I have shared with you some cards previously also.

Card Size is 4 X 8.5 inches. Will this qualify for slim line cards?

I think I have made lot of cards with this MB flower dies. May be because I like this and also that when you are using it for first time.

This card has simple white insert and a simple white envelope.

Just For You Card

Hello Friends !

Hope you all had a Happy Varalakshmi Puja. I was busy because of that and now that the festival is over I am tired. But I want to share this card with you today.

Small is beautiful. That's what I thought after I looked at the finished card which I am going to share with you today.

Today I am posting again a small sized card. It is overlapping Gate Fold.

Card Size is 14.5 cms height X 12.8cms(after folding) width and 14.5 cms X 29cms (before folding).

First I stamped the bird image on to a white scrap and colored it. Then cut it using SB Radiant rectangles Dies. Then I cut the other oval die and then stamped the sentiment.

I have coloured the stamped image using colour pencils.

First I cut the borders on the edges and then scored and folded the card.

I was a little bit confused when cutting these borders to get them facing each other. Then I figured it out. Sometimes even simple things don't strike us.

This is how the borders look.

Then I added the die cuts to the card on either side.

Then I punched out a pink paper (square) using border punch and added as insert. 

This is the envelope. I used a different border punch on the envelope. I did not relaise that as I made a bunch of envelopes separately and did not check the design on the insert. I should be careful in future. 

Anyways here it is the card with the envelope.

Thinking Of You Card

It was highly overcast since last three days and sometimes raining heavily and sometimes just light showers. It is cold and damp but better than the hot humid climate we had in past week.

Today I am sharing another simple card.

Think Of You Card

I have used cream coloured glittery card stock as base which is handmade paper. 

Because of the glittery surface and the shiny surface of the tapes, it was difficult to photograph it. I am sorry for the poor quality of images.

I have used printed washi tapes and punched out butterflies. 

Thinking Of You Card

I have added dimension to the sentiment part so that it stands out a bit.

I have added cream coloured insert with stamped butterflies.

Today I am sharing yet another simple card.

I have used blue coloured A4 size card stock folded into half. Then I added the printed paper and the plaid tape. Finally added the stamped sentiment.

Inside the card I have punched all the four corners using border punch.

Good Luck Card

Hello Friends! Hope you are all enjoying your week end.

Here is my card for today.

Good Luck Card

The base was Kraft paper thick enough for card making. I have used the negative space of butterfly punched out from the kraft paper. Underneath I added an orange coloured scrap paper. Then added the sentiment printed on a circle punched out from the same colour paper.

I have added plain cream coloured paper as insert. This card has matching kraft paper envelope which I made to match the card.

Overall look of the card is subdued. What do you think? Is it too sombre? Should I have gone for some bright colours? If so which colours would match the brown of kraft paper?

Floral Card

Hello Friends!

Today we have some respite from rain. Though still heavily overcast, we did not have any rain in the  past 24 hours. 

Here is my card. Another Thank You card. My theme was floral. Background is subtle floral print in light blue. I also added a flower branch in white.

Floral card

My base was A4 size white Ivory sheet folded in half. Entire face of the card is covered by the printed paper. I then added the die cuts; dark blue light blue and the white one with stamped sentiment.

The I added the floral branch and the butterfly in white.

For the insert I used a matching blue coloured paper A4 size with borders punched in the four corners. This card has a plain white envelope.

Blue and White Card

Hello!

Today I am posting a Thank You Card.

I have used only two colours: Blue and White.

Blue and white Card

As a base I have used White Ivory card stock after rounding off the corners with a punch.

Then added the blue card stock and printed paper.  After that I stamped the sentiment on a square white card stock piece glued it to the die cut with dimensional dots and then added the entire thing to the card with dimensional dots.

Inside I have added a blue insert with rounded of corners and white insert with  punched the border (slightly smaller size).

This card has plain white envelope.

I wanted it to be simple and easy to make. That's why I have used only two colours. Hope you like this card.

Warm Wishes

Hi there. Today I am posting another card which is simple and easy to make. 

As base I have used A4 size white Ivory stock card folded in half. I used strips of baby pink card and purple colour polka dots printed paper to add some colour. I love polka dots. Do you?

The scalloped ovals were die cut from pink and white coloured card stock to match the design. I stamped the sentiment on the white oval with black ink and added a small 3D sticker. 

I have used double sided foam tape to give a little dimension to the oval die cuts.

For the insert, I have punched border on three sides of pink paper using border punch. This card has plain white envelope.
