New Additions

These are the new additions to my stash:

These are Knitting Cotton thread balls. There were so many colours to choose from, single as well as shaded. But these are costly because of the bigger size of the balls i.e. more quantity. But the thread as such is not fine when compared to that of branded ones. Any way these days it is difficult to get any threads or yarns for embroidery here. Kundan, zardosi and such types are works are in fashion now.

I wanted to add some variety to my stash of yarns. So I ended up buying these and going above my budget limit. But these will last for a long time and I may not get the opportunity or chance to buy these again.

Bindi-The Forehead Art

Part-3

Here are my previous posts on the topic:

Now for some designs. These can be drawn with the liquid Bindi or Kajal. One can also use liquid eye liners which are available in many colours and also that they have a brush with fine tip to apply. I have only used green, black, blue and some metallic colours. Here you can look at the colours of the eyeliner:

They may also be available in India too. Now for the Bindi designs:

You can use colours of your choice to match the dress you are wearing, or use black or red or both which go with all colours in general. You can also adjust the size of these designs according to your choice.

Watch out for more in my next posts....

Rangoli-182

Rangoli With Sticker Bindis

These days we India women use sticker Bindis. I am so fond of them that whenever I get a chance I pick up so many varieties, for myself, my sis and my friends. But many of them remain unused. The other day when I was cleaning out I came across so many such unused Bindis. So I thought I would try a Rangoli with them. All I had to do was to stick them on a back ground after removing the backing paper.
I have only used round shaped ones. But I have so many other varieties I would like to try out. Well let us see what I can come up with next. This way I can use the Bindis.

Oh by the way these designs can be used for Greeting cards too. That is what I am going to finally use these Rangolis for.
