Simple Thank You Card

Hello Friends!

Today I am sharing another Thank you Card. Its very simple and easy to make.

Thank You Card

The base is White Ivory Card stock A4 size folded into half; that is A5 size. This is also a tent card but in landscape orientation.

I have scored 5 lines at the top of the card using scoreboard and scorer. I think they are faintly visible. Then I adhered the printed paper tapes with glue so that they don't peel off.

I have used the butterflies punched out from mauve and white card stock in some other project. I trimmed (square) the  left overs of punched out pieces, layered them and used it here. I used dimensional foam dots to give it some dimension.

Actually I have scribbled some scrolls on the white cardstock using white gel pen, from which the butterfly was cut. But it is hardly visible in the image.

Next I stamped out the sentiment on white card stock using two inks for shadow affect. I cut it into oval shape and adhered it on mauve coloured oval die cut and then glued it to the card.

This card has simple white insert and a plain white envelope.

So what do you think of the card? Hope you like it. Please leave your comments/suggestions.

Thanks a lot for all your love and support.

A Hello Card

Hello Friends!

Hope you are all doing well. I am back after a long break. I had to take a break because some of my students were taking board exams. I was attending to their doubts 24X7Summer was at its peak. We had to pickle some mangoes at the last moment.

I was exhausted completely and wanted to relax a bit. But entire family suffered food poisoning. So though better now with all the antibiotics I still feel weak. I think it will take some time for me to completely recover

Here we had a few showers at the onset of monsoons. But the heat and humidity continue.

Today I am sharing with you a simple card.

Hello Card

I have used colour pencils for colouring the stamped image. The word Hello was cut out of white and tangerine orange coloured card stock. I used two layers-tangerine colour as top layer to make it thick.  I added Glitter to it using colourless glue

Border Punch

This is the border punch I used. When I first started making cards, cutting dies were not so freely available in local craft stores nor there were few online shops. The cost of branded dies is also very high. Punches were newly introduced in our local craft shops. So I bought some.

Insert

This is how the insert looks. I used a soft peach coloured paper for it with corners punched .

I wanted to use the colour combination of violet and orange. I think the combo looks good; a bit bold though. What do you say? Please do leave your comments/ suggestions.

I want to thank all those lovely people who kept on supporting me through out. Your support means a lot to me. THANK YOU!

Watch out for more... I have loads to share with you.

Butterfly Card

Hello Friends!

Hope you are all doing well. I am posting after a long time. I was down with severe back pain. My mom was also not feeling well because of the summer heat. Final exams are going on for some students.

Now I am a bit OK. But cannot sit for long. That's why I couldn't post.

I thank all you beautiful people who have been supporting me despite me being inactive and not posting on my blog.

Today I am sharing with a simple and easy to make card. I love butterflies. Who doesn't?

Butterfly Card

The butterflies were punched out using punch. Actually, the butterflies are not cut completely. That is they are attached at the center to the card from which I punched them. Only wings portion can be lifted up a little. I hope you get my point.

I have punched out tiny butterfly border for the insert. Underneath it I adhered a half inch strip of tangerine card stock with scalloped border (remains from some other  project)

Butterfly Card-Insert

Hope you like my creations. If you do please leave your comments/suggestions on my post. I would love to read them.

I have so much to share with you all. So keep an eye on my blog.

Hello Friends !

Hope you are all doing well. Your are all healthy and safe.

I have added the fabric tape to the bottom fold so that it is visible from the top.

I have used punches for the borders as you can see.

I love the Sizzix Framelits - Labels, Fancy dies. I keep on reaching for it for stamping sentiments. I have dabbed the edges with blue ink. I have attached it with a foam dot to give it slight dimension.

Then I added the stickers. Hope you like my work.

Simple Card

Hello Friends!

Hope you are all doing well.

First of all I want to thank all those beautiful people out there for their love and support, Thank you so much. Your support motivates me to create more and more.

I could not post for the past few days because I had a sever back ache and had to take rest. Working on computers aggravates my back and neck pain.

Moreover, my internet was also down. These days, there is frequent outage and the service provider is taking a long time to rectify the fault. It is really irritating but what to do.

Today I am sharing yet another simple card made with punched out border and 3D sticker.

Simple Card

I have used a white mat and then top layer of Lilac with punched-out border. Actually the punched-out layer was already attached to the white card stock. This was left over form some other project. So I just glued it to the card base.

Then stamped the sentiment onto the punched out card label (available in my stash) and added to the card.

The sticker is glittery, therefore, the image is not so clear.

I have a huge stash of left overs, scraps, bits and pieces of card stock, printed paper, stickers, embellishments and so many other things. I want to use them in my next projects and decrease my stash. I am running out of storing space.

Hope you like my work.

Thanks a lot once again for all your love and support.

Simple Card

Hello Friends!

Hope you are all doing well.

Yesterday we celebrated Maha Shiv Ratri with fasting and Jagaran(staying awake all night). This year too we did not visit temple. We prayed at home. I didn't want to take any risk with viral fevers and Covid. So it was quite hectic but we enjoy it. Praying and reading Shiv Puran etc.

So today I am so tired. But then it gives lot of peace and happiness observing fast and staying awake all night praying and chanting mantras.

So with yesterday our winter season officially ended and from today summer starts. Its already quite hot in the afternoons. I don't know how it will be in the peak.

Todays card I am sharing is very simple. I have used some of my stash/scraps of materials. I have used only three colours: white, light blue and pink.

Simple Card

Actually, the blue layer with punch design is left over from some other project. Perhaps had I used some pearls or gems for decoration, it would have looked much grander.

Hope You like my creations.

Small Thank You card

Hello!

Hope you are all doing well.

Today I am posting a card made out of remaining scraps.

The size of the card is 12.5 X 14.3 cms or 5 X 5 +5/8 inches. Since this was the scrap left over from some other project, I don't usually trim them unless the edges are damaged.

I have used Tent Fold for this card.

Thank You Card
I have used Negative of the die cut as the layer. I have doodled with white gel pen inside the scalloped circle which may not be clearly visible.
Insert
Inside the border has been punched using small border punch. The same has been used on envelope. I made the envelope myself as it is difficult to find ready made ones for odd sizes.

Thank You Card

Hello Friends. Today, I am sharing another Thank You card.

Thank You Card

This is a landscape card. Size is 13.5 cm X 22cms.

I have tried to use materials manufactured by the local artisans as much as possible so that the local business is encouraged.

This card is made with punched designs. Actually, during a session of punch craft, I was trying out various punches. If the punched out designs go wrong somewhere, they will remain as scraps. Some can be used as it is, some need some minor trimmings, some require major cuts and some cannot be salvaged at all.

These punched designs can be used for making cards, book marks or scrapbooks. Those which cannot be corrected and used, I use them for stenciling.

So I dug out my stash and tried to make use of them in my creations. This is one of such cards.

Hope You like my creations. If you like my work please follow me on my blog, FB and Insta. Also like my page on FB.

Thanks a lot to all my supporters for their love and support.

Thank You Card

Hello Friends!

I am sharing a Thank You card today. Its made out of left over scraps.

The dimensions of card are 7 X 11 cms after folding. So this may qualify as a Slim Line Card. When I am working with scraps, I don't stick to standard sizes. I don't want to cut off pieces if it is not necessary. Why waste the product as well as money?

Thank You Card

Thank You Card
As you can see the top folding is 1 cm less than the bottom fold, to show the chevron tape added to the inside of the bottom fold.

I drew the flowers with fine tipped black ink pen and then filled in the colours with inks pens.

I did not use any fixative to protect the drawing.

Then I cut off  using scalloped oval dies.

Hand Drawn Flowers

Here is a closer look. I am not a great artist. I just doodle it. Moreover I am self taught so my skills are not that perfect.

Actually I doodled lot of flowers and other images sometime back on white card stock scraps. I prefer white card stock as base as they go easily with any other colours and can also be coloured if required.

You know I love to watch old movies with my mom in the afternoons. That's the time we spend together. So while watching it I sometimes take up the drawing and sketching activities.

Also when I am not able to or don't feel like crafting, I prefer to create some of these so that I can use them later on as card toppers.

Only problem is that if I don't space the images properly, it is quite difficult to die cut them. I am not so adept at fussy cutting.

Its good to have stock of such images as you can easily create a card in emergency.

Stamps are so costly, especially when they are branded ones. I can't spend so much money on them. It takes time to build a stash of craft materials.

When I started crafting, there were not many online shops. The few shops were only selling branded stamps. So I prefer drawing my own images.

Since the flowers were pink, I used matching pink coloured card stock. In fact I was too glad to use my florescent card stock. It is very difficult to use them in card making as colour combos are difficult to match.

Card Insert

For the card insert, I added a punched out matching pink paper.

Envelope

This is the matching envelope I made my self. It has punched border on the flap.

Card-Envelope

So this the final product. Hope you like them. Please do leave your comments/suggestions.

Thanks a lot for all your love and support. Please keep on supporting my work.

BirthDay Card

Hello Friends!

Hope you are all doing well. Hope you are all safe and healthy.

Here the third wave of Covid has ended. The cases have gone down. We have been permitted to  return to normalcy but following the Covid appropriate behavior. So we cannot let our guard down completely.

Educational institutions, offices and other establishment can now function normally. So slowly we can venture out but carefully.

Well we have to wait and see.

Birthday Card

Today I am sharing yet another Birthday Card.

Birthday Card

I have used textured Kraft Card Stock as base.

Browns are one of the colours along with florescent colours which I usually avoid when making cards. This is because, we have to carefully choose the  embellishments or inks for stamping or other accessories as the colour combo is limited.

But then I have seen some artists making amazing cards using browns or other such colours.

What do you think?

This card was very simple and easy to make. I have loads of printed paper tapes and puffy stickers lying around. So I chose to use some of them here.

Most of the material used was ready made. I had to punch the border, stamp the sentiment, dab the edges with a bit of pink and  attach it.

Insert

This is the inside of the card. Its actually pale baby pink paper which is not reflected in the image. I left the space blank for wishes which can be added just before sending.

Hope you like my work.

If you like my work, please subscribe to  my blog, like my page on FB and follow me on Insta.

I am grateful to all your love and support. Thanks a lot for taking time to like my page or leaving comments. Hope you keep on supporting me.   🙏🙏🙏
